Juventus/Italy defender, Daniel Rugani tests positive to Coronavirus

Daniel Rugani of Juventus football club and Italy national league has been confirmed on Wednesday 11th March, 2020 to test positive to Coronavirus.

Juventus released the statement announcing that the 25 years old defender has contracted the virus that has been sweeping across Italy, Europe and Asia despite showing no obvious symptoms.

Juventus football club also reported that Daniel Rugani has now been quarantined in order to reduce the risk of his teammates and coaches contracting the virus.

Juventus wrote on their official website;

“The footballer Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.

“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including the census of those who have had contact with him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has also been advised to stay away from training as he is currently spending time in his Portuguese hometown of Madeira to avoid contracting the virus, as all sporting activities have however been suspended in the country.
