Dispatcher

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

  • The incumbent works in the CDC Motor pool unit.
  • Incumbent daily coordinates, assigns drivers and schedules transportation for CDC personnel and official visitors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.

Experience: 

  • Two (2) years of professional driving experience in host country, plus one year of motor vehicle dispatcher or fleet management experience is required.

  • Good knowledge of host country traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures is required.

Boat Pilot

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

Incumbent serves as a boat pilot for the Motor Pool and reports directly to the Motor Pool Supervisor, operating independently to ensure safe and effective utilization of our boats which carry up to 36 passengers per trip.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of primary school is required.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of professional boat piloting experience on Lagos coast and near offshore waters is required.

Job Knowledge

  • Knowledge of outboard motor operation and maintenance is required. Knowledge of Nigerian and Lagos State boating laws and regulations is required.

  • Must understand boat safety procedures.
  • Must be a strong swimmer and be able swim 50 meters out and back in the open water.
  • Must have the physical and mental ability to assist passengers in distress.
  • Boat pilot must be able to lift/pull 50 pounds out of the water.
