N-Power To Recruit 5 Million Youths Under Skill Up Nigeria Renew Hope

The new management of the Npower program now Renewed Hope Skills Up Nigeria has stated that they will be recruiting 5 Million Youths into the restructured Npower program.

The Npower program was initiated by the former President Buhari Administration in 2016 to equip Nigerian youths with employability and entrepreneurship skills. So far, more than 1 million beneficiaries have benefited from the Npower program.

However, the Npower program has come under criticism because of the poor management of the program. And lack of payment for the Beneficiaries of the program.

With President Tinubu ‘s Administration renewed hope in the job creation Initiative, the Npower program under the management of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty alleviation is restructuring the Npower program to restore the program’s lost glory.

This restructuring and transformation will also birth an expanded program to reach beneficiaries aged 18-40 (the previous age limit was 35). We are targeting 5 million beneficiaries in 5 years at a pace of 1 million per year under the graduate and non-graduate stream.

New recruitment into the Npower Renewed Hope Skills Up Nigeria Program may commence in January 2024.

Currently, the management team is auditing the number of people in the program, those who have exited the program, those who are being owed, whether they reported to work or not, and how funds have been utilized over this period of time.
