Covid-19: Over 30,000 cases, 30% recoveries: where things stand in Africa

The World Health Organisation (WHO) African regional office in Brazzaville, Congo, has revealed the situation of things in Africa as regards COVID-19 figures with 30,000 cases and 30% recoveries.

The figures were published on the agency’s Twitter handle with the caption, “Over 30,000 COVID-19 cases reported on the African continent with over 9,000 associated recoveries and 1,300 deaths recorded”

In reference to the breakdown of figures, South Africa currently holds a total of 4,361 cases making them the highest in Africa, followed by Egypt with 4,092 cases, and Morocco with 3,889 cases.

Nigeria with 1,182 confirmed cases stands at the seventh position which is just right after Ghana with recorded 1,279 cases.
